Lou Walters

48th street is now also know as Lou Walters Way. Louis Edward Walters, a Jewish immigrant from London, England, who owned the famed New York nightclub "The Latin Quarter", and who was, among other things, a Broadway producer (he produced the Ziegfeld Follies of 1943). Posted by Picasa

Mayor Bloomberg and Barbara Walters

We saw the mayor of NYC and Barbara Walters from our bus tour today. They were dedicating a new "second street name". I do not know who the fine feathered friends are. Posted by Picasa

Proud Building in the morning sun

This is a shot just downt the street from our hotel. Our first night in the hotel here was cold, the air conditioner works well. However the featherbed on top of the bed worked even better. Nothing like waking up feeling like you were in a sauna. We found a great breakfast site Lena's. Today:Central Park and then tonight Broadway to see Nathan Lane and Mathew Broderick in the Odd Couple.

A nice blast form my past. I remember watching the Odd Couple on TV--first runs, not reruns. Posted by Picasa
